Lukas received his M.Sc. in physics from the University of Würzburg. He is now a PhD candidate in the group of Prof. Laurens W. Molenkamp at the chair of Experimentelle Physik 3. Lukas is working on the MBE growth of HgTe-based heterostructures in the 2D-TI as well as in the 3D-TI or Weyl semimetal regime with a special focus on the impact of strain on the band structure and transport properties.
