Faculty of Arts, Historical, Philological, Cultural and Geographical Studies

In the course of the expansion of the universities since the 1960s, the previously independent Teacher Training College was integrated into the university as the Faculty of Education in 1972. In 2007, as part of a reorganisation of the organisational structure of the University of Würzburg, the Philosophy Departments I and II as well as the Faculty of Earth Sciences were (re-)united to form the new “Faculty of Arts, Historical, Philological, Cultural and Geographical Studies”.
