Social Dinner

The Social Dinner will take place on Thursday, February 14, in the traditional Alter Kranen restaurant.

Alter Kranen recalls the importance of the main trade for Würzburg. The Baroque building was built between 1767 and 1773 by Franz Ignaz Neumann, the son of the famous baroque architect Balthasar Neumann, for the Prince Bishop Adam Friedrich. It is considered architecturally the most beautiful of the remaining stone tread cranes. After 73 years of operation it was replaced by an iron crane. It survived the Second World War undamaged and with a completely intact mechanism. Its terrace has beautiful views of Main River, Fortress and Alte Mainbrücke.
