1,000 careers – 1 story: Alumni Uni Würzburg
Dear international alumni,
Over 150,000 alumni of the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (JMU) live and work all over the world today. Staying true to JMU’s motto “Science for Society”, we intend to maintain a long-lasting relationship with all our alumni, national and international, for personal as well as scientific exchange. This was the reason why we founded our Alumni Association more than 12 years ago. Ever since, the association has intensified the strong connection of our alumni with their alma mater, one of the oldest universities in Germany and the place where Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen discovered the X-rays 125 years ago.
Professorin Doris Fischer
In this International Alumni Book, we are proud to present you with the activities of our international alumni from a wide range of disciplines at various institutions in different countries to keep you connected with each other and to the University of Würzburg. The list – which contains international JMU Alumni sorted by profession and country – is constantly updated and expanded as our alumni network grows from day to day. We treasure our alumni and in issuing this book would like to refresh some of the good memories from your time in Würzburg. I thus hope you enjoy leafing through the book. Perhaps you will not only reconnect with some old acquaintances but make new friends.
Thank you for supporting your alma mater and please stay in touch!
Yours, Prof. Dr. Doris Fischer
